Some Personal Observations

So we're doing our Wrap party finally. We're projecting the trailer (2:09)a twisted teaser (:29) sure to get the folks riled up, and even a couple of scenes!!! Everyone and their neighbor wants to see this thing and we just can't bring ourselves to do any kind of screening until its future is more clear. Sorry folks, we're gonna keep the cosmic tension wratcheted up!

ELIJAH'S ASHES is coming along splendidly though. It's very nice to get into a brother relationship and all of that stuff. It's a very strange thing that brothers have. Rivalry, jealousy, envy, love, support, humor, inside jokes, etc... It's also really nice not to have to worry so much about plot. And writing for emotionally crippled people sure is fun. It's bound to be a classic. We just need the right guys to play the brothers and then hell... It'll be roll cameras baby!!!

RED CAMERAS that is! I think I'm officially a fan. I know that Mr. Soderberg uses them and we had a pretty good experience on THE TRUTH. I like the look in the medium to long lenses. The wide is a bit tougher though. Ahh, things that can be worked around. And man you can't beat the cost, right?

So on another note, I was discussing my CURRENT MENTAL STATE with my producer and it occurred to me that one of the things I love most about being a writer, artist, and especially a director is the chance to get completely absorbed in minutiae and micromanaging creative details. Now that I'm done with THE TRUTH, I feel this giant empty feeling, like one of my main senses is no longer being satiated. Time to make another film, hey?
